To support our team, Scient is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong administrative skill set to support our day-to-day operations. This role requires excellent communication skills in French and English, solid organization, and familiarity with finance or business fundamentals. The position is in-person (Mile-Ex), initially for 4–6 months, with the potential to extend based on fit and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Strategy: Contribute to developing and refining business models and financial plans
- Operations Management: Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and reporting to ensure smooth operations
- Administrative Support: Coordinate handle routine correspondence
- Market Research: Identify and pursue opportunities within Quebec’s mining ecosystem
- Communication: Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders in French and English
Qualifications
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of finance or business fundamentals
- A keen interest in startup operations and mining
- Experience with grant writing or financial analysis
- Previous experience in a tech startup environment is an asset
