About the Role:
We are seeking two sharp, organized, and driven Business Operations & Research Associates to support our dynamic and fast-paced company across multiple divisions. These team members will serve as mini project managers - handling research, organizing workflows, creating decks and documents, managing timelines, and helping move critical initiatives forward.
Each associate will be assigned to one core area and one adjacent area:
Associate 1: Food and Beverage
Associate 2: Publishing and Media
These roles require a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a creative and deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research to support strategic initiatives, including competitive analysis, market research, grant/funding opportunities, and partnership leads.
- Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations, Excel reports, and Word documents to support internal and external communications.
- Assist in the development and execution of special projects - helping track progress, follow up with stakeholders, and keep workstreams on schedule.
- Draft memos, business summaries, and documentation for meetings and presentations.
- Coordinate and manage shared documents, trackers, and workflows across departments.
- Support vendor research, sourcing, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with leadership on calendar-based deliverables and recurring tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, communications, public policy, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a research, project coordination, or administrative support role.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- must be able to create graphs, financial models, slides, and reports.
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A problem-solver with the initiative to ask the right questions and find solutions independently.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Bonus Points:
- Prior experience in airport concessions, publishing, branding, or nonprofit environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Trello, Google Suite, Canva, or Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Experience in research-heavy roles or data analysis.
