We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated and talented individual that wants to join a high-quality, hands-on team aiming to achieve something great over the next decade. The individual will join our team as a hands-on Director of Business Operations to support and elevate our operating companies by ensuring excellent people operations first and foremost (not just employees but also all contractors/suppliers) and also improving processes across the board. Reporting directly to the Founder & Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving Kinrock's success over the next decade as we grow organically and inorganically.
The role is office-based a minimum of 4 days a week (with some WFH flexibility over time), as we build a strong, cohesive and collaborative central team culture that will maximise our ability to achieve our mission of helping our companies grow and thrive. We offer a competitive salary, annual performance bonus and benefits. OTE £80,000-100,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for high-quality people operations until we hire a dedicated professional in due course for the group, not just for employees but also all contractors (OKRs, monitoring monthly one-on-one reports, overseeing performance management, employee comms, "live" job descriptions, hiring)
- Be a right-hand problem-solver and analyst for the MD across people ops, suppliers, market analysis (i.e. data analysis)
- Be point of contact for all non-marketing-related group-wide external providers (IT, HR, insurance, etc.)
- Own compliance across the group with the help of external advisors (GDPR, HR, H&S)
- Documentation and improvement policies and procedures across the group to increase efficiency and client outcomes
- Manage our offices in London, Bristol and Edinburgh with the help of local team members and contractors
Requirements
Mandatory:

- You have a demonstrable track record of going the extra mile to achieve excellence and make things better
- You understand the importance of being hands-on and no task is beneath you - it's how you're wired
- You have 3-8 years of experience in business operations including people operations and data analysis (Excel proficiency)
- You are excited by the fact that a core part of this role in the medium-term will be ensuring great people operations for the group not just for employees but also all contractors (OKRs, monitoring monthly one-on-one reports, overseeing performance management, employee comms, "live" job descriptions)
- You have experience using CRMs (ideally Hubspot) to improve operations
- You have a experience documenting and improving operational processes and are passionate about it
- You are highly personable and can create genuine buy-in from stakeholders for your ideas and suggestions
Desirable:
- Experience with companies that sell services under annual subscription contracts
- Knowledge of Hubspot
- Familiarity with AI
- Experience working with consultants to ensure compliance (GDPR, H&S, ISO)
- Experience with creating Marketing Partnerships
