CFO Recruit is partnering with a client in San Antonio, Texas to appoint a Chief Financial Officer. This role would suit a VP of Finance or CFO who will serve as a strategic partner to the President and Board of Directors, providing financial leadership and insight to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence across a well-established financial services company operating across multiple locations.

The incoming CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting the next phase of the organization’s growth and modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership to support executive decision-making and long-term organizational goals.
- Oversee all accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable standards.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including FDIC, OCC, and state regulations.
- Lead financial risk management activities across liquidity, credit, market, and operational areas.
- Develop and execute financial strategies that enhance profitability, efficiency, and capital strength.
- Manage relationships with auditors, regulators and other key stakeholders.
- Drive operational efficiency through process optimization and technology-driven improvements.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability and professional growth.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to executive leadership and the Board.
- Support strategic initiatives as required.
- Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and funding strategies.
- Lead capital planning and analysis to support growth and shareholder value.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
- Partner cross-functionally to assess the financial impact of business strategies and initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- Proven success as CFO, VP Finance or senior finance executive within banking or financial services is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial operations, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements within a regulated financial environment.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with Boards, audit committees, and regulators.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel modeling
The salary advertized is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
Pay: $190,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
