CFO - SaaS (PE-Backed)

The Company
A £50m revenue SaaS business based in London, backed by private equity and scaling fast. With a strong product-market fit and a clear growth trajectory, the business is looking for a commercially astute, growth-minded CFO to help drive the next phase of value creation.
The Role
As CFO, you'll sit at the heart of the senior leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO, the Board, and the PE sponsor to shape strategy and drive financial performance. This is a high-visibility role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-moving, metrics-driven SaaS environment and is equally comfortable in the detail and at Board level.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the finance function end-to-end: FP&A, reporting, control, and compliance
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing financial insight to guide growth and investment decisions
- Manage the relationship with the PE investor, including board reporting, covenant compliance, and value-creation planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support scaling operations
- Support M&A activity, due diligence, and potential exit planning
- Partner with revenue and product teams on pricing, packaging, and unit economics
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team as the business scales
- Improve financial systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure to support growth
- Manage relationships with lenders, auditors, and other key financial stakeholders
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven CFO or senior Finance Director experience within a SaaS or subscription-based business
- Prior experience in a PE-backed environment is essential — comfortable with investor reporting, covenant management, and value-creation agendas
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and unit economics, and how they translate into strategic decision-making
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of supporting scale-up growth
- A hands-on operator who's equally comfortable in the detail and at Board level
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with M&A, fundraising, refinancing, or exit processes is highly desirable
