Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
PE-Backed Professional Services | South East UK | £40m Revenue | 12–24 Month Exit
We are partnering with a private equity-backed professional services business in the South East (£40m revenue, strong EBITDA, clear exit trajectory) to appoint a high-impact CFO.
This is not a “steady-state” finance role. The business is preparing for exit and needs a CFO who can build the financial infrastructure, create visibility, and lead from the front through a transaction.
The Opportunity
- 12–24 month exit horizon with an engaged Chair and commercially strong CEO
- Well-performing asset with clear headroom for value creation
- CFO to play a central role in shaping the equity story and delivering a successful exit
The Mandate
- Build robust reporting infrastructure and improve data quality
- Implement forecasting discipline and forward-looking KPI visibility
- Drive EBITDA clarity and performance tracking across the business
- Strengthen cash management and working capital control
- Support integration activity and platform development where required
- Lead all financial aspects of the exit process, including data room readiness and investor diligence
The Profile
- Proven CFO experience in a PE-backed B2B or professional services business
- Track record of building finance functions and operational rigour from the ground up
- Experience supporting integrations or platform build strategies
- Delivered a full sell-side process and comfortable under diligence scrutiny
- Understands what buyers, lenders, and advisors test and how to prepare for it
