About the Opportunity
We are seeking a forward-thinking and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations during a period of growth and transformation. As CFO, you’ll serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and driving the financial strategy, optimizing performance, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
This role is ideal for an accomplished finance leader who combines deep financial acumen with business intuition and operational rigor. You’ll partner directly with the CEO and Board of Directors to align financial strategy with company objectives and play a critical role in capital planning, forecasting, and investor relations.
While our headquarters are based in New York City, we offer flexibility for remote candidates across the U.S. with occasional travel to NYC for leadership meetings and board presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of financial strategy, including forecasting, planning, reporting, and capital management.
- Oversee Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, and Compliance functions.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on company performance, risk, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain scalable financial infrastructure, systems, and controls.
- Drive fundraising efforts, including equity and debt strategy, in coordination with external partners and stakeholders.
- Lead financial due diligence and integration for potential M&A activities.
- Represent the company in financial discussions with investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team to support a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 5+ years in a CFO or equivalent executive finance role.
- Proven track record in scaling finance functions in high-growth environments (public or late-stage private companies preferred).
- Strong background in strategic planning, investor communications, budgeting, and risk management.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading capital markets activities and managing investor relations.
- Proficiency with enterprise financial tools (NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive Insights, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience across sectors such as SaaS, fintech, or consumer industries is a plus.
Location & Work Arrangement
- Preferred: Hybrid role based in New York City, with in-office collaboration 2–3 days per week.
- Remote: Open to exceptional candidates across the U.S. with periodic travel to NYC for key meetings.
