Manager - Strategy & Business Operations:
At Fusion Fuel Cycles (FFC), you are a central operations leader responsible for helping scale an early-stage fusion venture in Canada. Working closely with the Head of Business Operations and senior leadership, this role serves as a central figure in both operational and business development facets of FFC’s operations.

Act as a key driver of FFC’s global corporate and business growth.
Lead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives aligned with FFC’s objectives, and support teams to deliver operational efficiency, project success, and business impact in the fusion energy sector.

Roles & Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy & Business Operations
- Support senior leadership in driving strategic planning, commercial execution, and operational scale-up.
- Lead internal business processes including budgeting, reporting, and governance tracking.
- Prepare board-level strategy documents, investor updates, and grant applications.
Project Delivery & Cross-Functional Execution
- Oversee planning and execution of company-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment across technical and business team.
- Track milestones, budgets, and compliance requirements for funded programs.
- Coordinate with external vendors, legal, and finance partners to support contracts, procurement, and audit readiness.
Platform Building & Organizational Enablement
- Design internal workflows by integrating modern productivity platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Notion, CoPilot, ChatGPT).
- Build automation and analytics dashboards to enhance executive decision-making and operational visibility.
- Create and maintain reusable playbooks, operating procedures, and reporting infrastructure to streamline the company's execution cadence.
Culture & Collaboration
- Support planning for company events, team-building activities, and celebrations.
- Promote a positive and inclusive company culture through various initiatives
Accountability
- Enable strategic growth by supporting execution across FFC’s commercial, operational, and funding mandates.
- Maintain operational excellence and continuous improvement within FFC’s processes.
- Foster a collaborative, mission-aligned culture across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach, especially suited to early-stage or scaling organizations.
- 3–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, startups or high-growth operations.
- Experience supporting executive-level decision-making or early-stage company building.
- Strong analytical skills and structured thinking—able to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
- Comfort developing strategic plans, financial models, and project roadmaps under tight timelines.
- Experienced in project coordination, financial tracking, and meeting reporting obligations to external bodies.
- Strong writing and communication skills—able to produce clear proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across functions
- Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable building new systems or workflows from scratch
- Proficient in tools like Microsoft 365, Notion, AI productivity tools, or similar platforms
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- A dual technical-business background or MBA is a plus but not required
