Icon Student Housing is seeking a visionary, data-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy, drive capital markets initiatives, and support ongoing growth. The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will oversee all financial planning, risk management, and capital structuring activities.This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic finance leader with deep experience in real estate investment, capital markets, and financial operations to help guide the next phase of Icon’s national expansion.
Requirements:

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the organization.

Oversee financial operations, accounting, tax strategy, and compliance.

Develop capital market strategies to support growth, including debt financing, investor relations, and potential REIT structuring.

Analyze market trends and use proprietary data insights to inform strategic investment decisions.

Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive M&A activity, property acquisitions, and divestitures.

Monitor financial KPIs to ensure income stability and ROI maximization.

Implement systems and processes that support scalability, transparency, and efficiency.

Present financial results and strategic insights to stakeholders, investors, and the Board.

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in real estate investment, private equity, or REITs.

Proven experience with capital markets, fundraising, and managing investor relations.

Strong knowledge of accounting, tax, and financial regulations within the real estate or housing sector.

Experience in student housing, multifamily development, or institutional investing is a strong plus.

Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
