We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Operations Specialist to support the execution of key sales operations programs. This role works under the guidance of senior leadership to support sales planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage tools and data to drive operational efficiency and sales effectiveness.
You'll be part of a collaborative team driving operational excellence in a fast-paced sales environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career in Sales Operations, gaining exposure to a broad range of sales strategy and execution initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Sales & Pipeline Support: Assist in the execution of sales operations programs including sales pipeline tracking, performance monitoring, and resolution of sales disputes or blockers.

Revenue Operations: Support fiscal-year planning efforts across areas such as Territory Planning, Account Planning, and Customer Growth tracking. Collaborate with team members to align execution with revenue goals.

Forecasting & Budgeting: Collect and analyze sales data to support forecasting, budget planning, and capacity modeling. Assist in planning processes such as Quota Distribution and Seller Assignments.

Insights & Reporting: Learn and apply best practices in Business Intelligence (BI) and continuous improvement. Help generate actionable insights to support decision-making and operational enhancements.

Ad Hoc Analysis: provide rapid, high-quality analysis in response to time-sensitive business questions. Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of strategic choices, GTM investments, or macroeconomic shifts.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

3+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, customer success, finance, marketing operations, or a related field

OR Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, customer success, finance, marketing operations, or a related field

OR equivalent experience.

1+ years of experience using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.

1+ year working in a cross-functional team environment.

1+ year experience with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar platforms).
Preferred Qualifications

5+ years experience in revenue operations/planning, finance, marketing, strategy, program management, consulting, economics, or a related field

OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in revenue operations/planning, finance, marketing, strategy, program management, consulting, economics, or a related field

Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or capacity planning processes.

Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and generate insights for decision-making.

Compensation Range: The base salary range for this job is USD $66,200.00 - USD $175,600.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
