Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer at GRETA ENERGY LIMITED located in Nagpur. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the leadership team for the upcoming integrated steel plant project. The CFO will have overall responsibility for financial strategy, capital structuring, fund-raising (both debt and equity), and financial governance. This role demands strong expertise in project financing, investor relations, and financial controls to ensure timely execution of the project and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Raising & Capital Structuring
- Lead the fund-raising strategy for the steel plant project through a mix of debt and equity financing, including project finance, structured finance, mezzanine funding, and private equity participation.
- Develop strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, export credit agencies (ECAs), private equity funds, and strategic investors.
- Negotiate term sheets, debt covenants, equity subscription agreements, and shareholder arrangements to secure favourable terms.
- Explore opportunities for green finance, sustainability-linked bonds, and concessional funding in line with the company’s commitment to sustainable steelmaking.
- Coordinate with rating agencies, legal advisors, and financial consultants to complete due diligence and financial closure.
Financial Strategy & Governance
- Oversee preparation of detailed project financial models, sensitivity analyses, and cash-flow forecasts.
- Provide financial inputs to support business planning, capex phasing, and project scheduling.
- Establish robust internal financial controls, risk management systems, and compliance frameworks (statutory, taxation, and regulatory).
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the coordinator for the project in discussions with lenders, investors, government agencies, and rating bodies.
- Build and maintain transparent communication with the Board of Directors, promoters, and strategic partners on fund-raising progress and financial health.
- Support CEO and Chairman in investor presentations, roadshows, and negotiations.
Operational Finance & Reporting
- Oversee budgeting, MIS reporting, treasury management, and working capital optimization.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS/Ind-AS standards and timely audits.
- Monitor financial KPIs and ensure alignment with project milestones and shareholder expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience, with at least 10 years in senior financial leadership roles in manufacturing/infrastructure/steel sector.
- Proven track record of raising large-scale project finance (debt & equity), preferably in capital-intensive industries.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international capital markets, ECB guidelines, ECA-backed financing, and Indian banking ecosystem.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
