Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Fintech Cybersecurity Subsidiary
Location: Remote / Hybrid (US preferred)
Compensation: $190,000 – $250,000 base + equity (0.5–1% subsidiary) + performance-based fundraising incentives
About the Subsidiary
We are building the financial services cybersecurity arm of XSOC - the company that invented behavior-layer containment, a new control class that makes enterprises unlearnable to adversarial AI.
This fintech-focused subsidiary will bridge financial institutions, fintech innovation, and advanced cyber resilience - addressing the rising wave of AI-driven fraud, synthetic insider attacks, and regulatory mandates.
- Market urgency: Financial institutions are already losing tens of millions to AI-driven fraud.
- Regulatory pressure: SEC cyber disclosures, the EU AI Act, and insurance AI-risk riders are reshaping accountability.
- Exit trajectory: This subsidiary is being built with a clear path toward strategic acquisition or IPO within 3–6 years.
The Role
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to architect, fund, and scale this subsidiary’s financial strategy.
This is a front-line fundraising and investor relations role where you will:
- Lead fundraising strategy and execution across venture, growth equity, and strategic investors.
- Leverage your book of past investors who have successfully backed and exited cybersecurity deals.
- Build board-ready investor decks that frame XSOC’s fintech subsidiary as the next category-defining opportunity in cyber.
- Drive capital raises (equity, strategic, and debt) to fuel rapid scale.
- Partner with the CEO and board to co-architect financial models, GTM economics, and exit pathways.
- Serve as the financial face of the subsidiary - engaging investors, analysts, and the financial press.
- Represent XSOC at industry panels, analyst briefings, and investor events.
Who You Are
This role requires a rare mix of operator, fundraiser, and strategist with deep roots in cybersecurity and fintech.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in senior finance roles (CFO, VP Finance, Partner-level in PE/VC/investment banking).
- Proven fundraising success (Series A–C, growth equity, strategic rounds).
- Cybersecurity sector experience is mandatory - you must understand the metrics, market, and investor narratives that move this space.
- A strong book of investors in cyber/fintech who have seen returns.
- Expertise in pitch deck creation, financial storytelling, and valuation strategy.
- Experience scaling high-growth fintech or cyber ventures.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action and outcomes.
