The purpose of the Business Operations group is to track and distill project details, ensuring that every team has easy access to up-to-date information when they need it. Our systems provide real-time visibility, streamlining workflows and reducing the need for emails and phone calls between teams.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
- Report to Director, Business Operations and support the management of in-house database for HBO and HBO Max original programming for the US, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.
- Help to manage connection points between Business Operations' Smartsheet database and other internal departments' tracking, tools, and data.
- Onboard new users to database in Smartsheet and manage license requests as-needed.
- Maintain Smartsheet system archive/backups and perform maintenance on system tools as-needed.
- Work independently on creating reports of information in Smartsheet as requested by executives.
- Review deal terms for HBO and HBO Max original programming and create new program records when new projects are initiated.
- Compile deal summaries for HBO and HBO Max original programming on greenlight of series, for handoff to Production.
- Manage various data cleanse and housekeeping projects.
- Tackle various data backfill projects.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) 1-2 years industry experience (Business Affairs or Studio experience preferred) in Entertainment.
2) Previous experience with Excel
a. 2+ years of experience; Experience with spreadsheets and how to navigate data.
3) Strong Attention to Detail
a. 2+ years; experience working independently and meeting deadlines; experience managing an ongoing system (whether technical or prosonnel-related)
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
1) Bonus if experience with Airtable or Smartsheet software.
Soft Skills:
1) Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
2) Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
3) Very very strong attention to detail.
Technology Requirements:
1) Experience working in databases and creating formulas in Excel.
Education / Certifications
1) B/A or B/S or equivalent experience in Entertainment.

1) 1st round screening with HM and Senior Manager
2) Possible 2nd round with Senior Manager.
