Job description:
RAVOK is building the venture capital model for film. We structure independent production ventures where filmmakers receive founder-level equity + board seats, replacing traditional studio deals with transparent, owner-operated ventures. We've built the legal framework and venture production system. We're now scaling to fund and launch multiple film ventures annually.
As our Founding CFO, you will architect the financial infrastructure and capital strategy for a new model of film financing. You will transform our venture studio framework into an investable financial vehicle that appeals to both tech VCs and film financiers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement fund structures for our film venture portfolio
- Lead all fundraising efforts with institutional investors and HNWIs
- Develop financial vehicles that blend venture capital principles with film financing
- Create investor materials that clearly articulate our model and financial returns
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for the studio and individual film ventures
- Create portfolio return projections that demonstrate the economics of our model vs. traditional studios
- Develop scenario analyses for different production slates and market conditions
- Establish KPIs and metrics that matter for a film venture portfolio
- Manage all capital allocation decisions across multiple film ventures
- Oversee cash flow planning and runway management
- Structure equity arrangements and profit participation for all ventures
- Implement transparent revenue sharing and royalty distribution systems
- Maintain and manage our cap table across studio and venture entities
- Establish financial controls and reporting standards
- Oversee all financial compliance and regulatory requirements
Required Experience:
- 5+ years in venture capital, private equity, or startup finance
- Experience fundraising for early-stage companies ($500K-$2M rounds)
- Strong financial modeling and cap table management skills
- Background in fund structuring or multi-entity financial management
Ideal Background:
