Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations exclusively for our Miami and LATAM regional activities. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader with a robust background in corporate finance, accounting, and risk management, dedicated to driving fiscal health and strategic growth within a complex, multi-national environment. The CFO will oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies tailored to the Miami & LATAM markets, supporting business growth and operational excellence.
- Lead all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to optimize revenue streams and control costs.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other relevant regulations.
- Manage risk assessment processes
- Supervise treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, liquidity management, and expense control initiatives.
- Oversee financial reporting processes including the preparation of accurate financial statements, P&L (profit & loss) statements, balance sheets, and management reports for senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or other organizational structures as applicable.
- Lead internal controls development and implementation to safeguard assets and ensure operational integrity across all financial processes.
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify new revenue opportunities and optimize the revenue cycle management process.
- Manage payroll operations ensuring accuracy in payroll processing while maintaining compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
- Utilize advanced financial software tools for modeling, analysis, reporting, and automation of routine tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Foster a high-performance finance team through mentorship, supervision, training, and leadership development initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead annual and multi-year financial planning: budgets, forecasts, and cash flow aligned with corporate strategy.
- Define, monitor, and optimize project cost structures, ensuring profitability and efficiency across LATAM operations.
- Oversee ERP implementation and continuous improvement, ensuring accurate, consolidated reporting.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations in the U.S. and LATAM.
- Deliver executive reports, KPI dashboards, and variance analyses to support decision-making.
- Manage treasury, liquidity, and working capital, anticipating funding needs.
- Coordinate audits, strengthen internal controls, and mitigate financial risks.
- Lead and develop the LATAM finance team, fostering alignment with Miami HQ and promoting a culture of accountability and excellence
Skills
- Extensive experience in corporate finance including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, expense management, and profit & loss analysis.
- Skilled in risk analysis and risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposure across diverse markets.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation to inform strategic decision-making at senior levels.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments; excellent negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Expertise in treasury functions including cash flow management, banking relationships, liquidity planning, and cost management initiatives.
- Technical proficiency with financial software platforms; strong analytical skills complemented by strategic planning acumen.
- Effective communicator capable of translating complex financial concepts into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders; adept at business analysis and market evaluation. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA/Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience in multinational environments across the U.S. and LATAM.
- Proven success in ERP implementation and management.
- Expertise in project financials, cost structures, and profitability analysis.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Experience leading regional and multicultural teams.
