The role
Marqo is looking for a driven and experienced VP of GTM to lead our fast growing sales team.
You’ll manage and grow a team of Enterprise AE’s and SDR’s, refine our enterprise sales motion, and help shape the systems and processes that will power Marqo’s next phase of growth.
We’re looking for someone who can lead a team and close enterprise scale deals. You’ll be expected to personally engage in and close high-value enterprise deals while guiding and scaling the broader sales team.
This is a hands-on leadership role based in San Francisco, reporting directly to the CEO.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and scale a high-performing team of SDRs and AEs, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Actively own and close large, strategic enterprise opportunities alongside your team
- Build and optimize sales processes for complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Maintain CRM hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline discipline across the team
- Partner with marketing, product, and leadership to ensure our GTM strategy aligns with Marqo’s business goals
- Drive the creation and execution of account plans, ensuring consistent engagement across executive and technical stakeholders.
- Hire, train, and mentor top sales talent to scale the team in line with Marqo’s growth trajectory
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in B2B technology sales, including at least 2 years in a sales leadership role
- Proven success selling to enterprise scale eCommerce and retail customers, with deal sizes in the $500K+ range
- Demonstrated ability to manage long, complex sales cycles and close large enterprise deals
- Strong operational mindset with experience building and enforcing CRM best practices and forecasting processes
- A hands-on leader who can inspire teams, execute with precision, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- A genuine interest in AI and search technology
