About the Position
- The City of Missouri City, Texas, is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the City's Financial Services Department, comprised of 17 dedicated professionals committed to maintaining the City's fiscal integrity. As a key member of the City's leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of financial operations including accounting, payroll, financial reporting, treasury, and procurement while fostering a culture of professionalism, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience (Required)
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in public sector finance.
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO), or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO).
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, debt management, and treasury management.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- In-depth knowledge of municipal finance laws and regulations.
Education & Experience (Preferred)
- Master’s degree in finance, public administration, or a related field.
- Experience in strategic financial planning and economic development.
- Familiarity with Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) and local government finance.
Compensation & Benefits
- The City of Missouri City offers a competitive salary of +/- $175,000, dependent on qualifications. The city provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
