Welling Young, LLC has been retained by a well-respected retail insurance agency based throughout the MidAtlantic seeking a Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) serves as the senior sales leader for the agency, responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening carrier relationships, and developing a high-performing producer team. This role blends strategic sales leadership with hands-on deal support and talent development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist producers with structuring, negotiating, and placing insurance deals; provide direct support on complex or high-value accounts; maintain strong relationships with carriers to optimize placement options.
- Coach and mentor new and developing producers; lead training programs on sales techniques, coverage knowledge, prospecting strategies, and pipeline management.
- Develop and oversee sales plans, performance targets, and growth initiatives aligned with agency objectives.
- Monitor sales activity, provide feedback, and help producers overcome obstacles to meet production goals.
- Work closely with agency leadership to refine sales processes, improve client experience, and ensure consistent delivery of service standards.
