The role of the Sales Operations Manager is to manage the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal sales and customer service operation at both sites to maximise sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- To drive the achievement of the Group’s Annual Sales Budget, month by month, for the key performance lines of Invoiced Sales Revenue and Value Added ratio.
- To manage the daily operational activities and performance of the internal sales, administration and customer service functions to maximise sales potential and maintain efficiency throughout.
- To manage and develop efficient and accurate Order Processing and Customer Service functions that maximise customer satisfaction and minimises customer complaints
- To ensure all reporting is effective, productive and timely in order to monitor sales input, invoicing and margins.
- To maintain a visible pipeline of clients sufficient to meet the sales targets at all times and ensure that any potential risks and remedial plans are reported in order to recover or address the risks. Encourage the team to actively develop existing accounts, seek and capitalise upon opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell across the product portfolio.
- To work in partnership with external Business Development Managers and internal Account Manager
- To recruit, retain, motivate and drive an internal sales operation that performs to its highest potential.
- To train and coach the team, ensuring the highest standards of sales support, administration and customer service are maintained at all times.
- To uphold and maintain the company culture and values throughout the internal sales operation.
Skills and desired attributes:
- Experience of operational sales management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally labels/ print/ FMCG).
- Able to bring genuine gravitas and leadership skills to the role - managing a team of 12 varying roles within the sales, customer service and artwork functions - across two sites.
