Work model:
What you will do:
- Oversee the accounting team, including AP, AR, banking, and payroll
- Serve as system expert within the team for setup/training and support for all users
- Monitor expenses and ensure accuracy and proper alignment
- Review banking activity daily
- Hire, train, and supervise finance staff
- Attend all Staff Meetings and Finance Committee meetings when necessary
- Serve as backup for the CFO when needed
- Review the work of the finance staff, including but not limited to sales, payables, reconciliations, and journal entries
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with an MBA or CPA advantageous
- 8+ years of experience in a financial leadership capacity
- Prior non-profit experience helpful, not required
- Advanced proficiency with accounting software programs
- Skilled in time management and organization
- Proven prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once under tight deadlines
- Strong skills in analysis and problem-solving
- Ability to diagnose, research, and communicate complex issues
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with a team and effectively manage resources
