The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s long-term financial strategy aligned with real estate growth plans.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling for projects and business units.
2. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and project-based profitability reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation rules, and industry regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational stability.
3. Budgeting & Project Feasibility
- Develop detailed budgets and financial models for new real estate projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, ROI analysis, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis, and market-driven pricing analysis.
- Evaluate land acquisition proposals, construction budgets, and cost forecasts.
4. Capital Raising & Investor Relations
- Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, private equity firms, and lenders.
- Structure debt, equity, and hybrid funding solutions for projects.
- Lead fundraising efforts, term-sheet negotiations, and financial due diligence.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, legal, and market-related risks.
- Ensure proper governance, internal controls, and audit compliance.
- Oversee statutory filings, tax planning, and adherence to RERA and other real estate regulations.
6. Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Project Management, and Procurement to manage costs and improve margins.
- Support pricing strategies, customer payment plans, and collections processes.
- Improve financial systems, ERP/CRM integrations, and automation of finance workflows.
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Implement best practices in financial operations and professional development within the department.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA Finance
- 10–20+ years of experience in Finance, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience in the real estate or construction industry is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in project finance, banking, fundraising, compliance, and financial modeling.
