Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive the organization’s fiscal health and growth. The CFO will oversee all financial planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives. This role demands a proactive leader with exceptional financial acumen, capable of navigating complex regulatory environments, managing large-scale budgets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to promote growth and stability.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow analyses, and regulatory filings in compliance with IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other relevant standards.
- Manage corporate accounting functions such as revenue management, cost control, expense management, payroll administration, and supply chain finance.
- Implement robust risk analysis frameworks to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies in accordance with COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition Standard), IFRS, and other regulatory reporting requirements across governmental and non-profit sectors.
- Oversee treasury management activities including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, investment strategies, and liquidity optimization.
- Lead mergers & acquisitions initiatives by conducting market analysis, due diligence, valuation assessments, negotiation support, and integration planning.
- Drive business development efforts through strategic financial insights that support expansion opportunities and new revenue streams.
- Supervise a team of finance professionals responsible for financial reporting writing and interpretation, technical accounting issues such as cost accounting and tax accounting, as well as internal controls implementation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial processes by leveraging advanced financial software solutions and automation tools.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic plans that enhance organizational sustainability while maintaining rigorous risk management standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive within complex organizations; prior experience in both corporate and non-profit accounting is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including fiscal management, market analysis, profit & loss oversight, cost control, and revenue cycle management.
- Strong expertise in regulatory compliance standards such as IAS, IFRS, GAAP, SOX regulations, ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition, and COSO internal control frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams with supervising experience in finance functions like payroll management and expense oversight.
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, business analysis tools, and advanced financial software platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with strategic thinking to support business development initiatives and mergers & acquisitions activities.
- Superior communication skills for clear financial report writing and interpretation tailored for diverse audiences including board members and external regulators.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence senior leadership teams while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are preferred.
