Hermes Landscaping is seeking a Business Operations Project Manager to drive cross-functional construction and operational projects from inception to completion. The Role
The Business Operation Project Manager will oversee complex projects across multiple business units, including commercial construction, maintenance, residential design-build, insurance, finance, and administration. This role ensures all projects meet timelines, budgets, quality expectations, and compliance standards while coordinating teams, resources, and stakeholder communication.
Core Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Lead full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting.
- Coordinate with vendors, general contractors, and internal teams.
- Track progress and ensure alignment with company policies and goals.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare, manage, and forecast project budgets.
- Monitor costs, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Review and verify payments and oversee financial documentation.
Team Leadership & Communication
- Lead and mentor project teams, including site managers and junior PMs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and foster a collaborative work environment.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve issues and conduct quality control to ensure standards are met.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field OR 5–7 years in senior project management/administrative leadership (construction experience preferred).
- Strong financial and operational leadership skills with the ability to drill into details and drive outcomes.
- Proven success in cross-functional coordination and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong prioritization and execution discipline in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.
