About The Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner with experience in CPQ, Salesforce, or any product configuration tools.
The ideal candidate should have strong BA skills, hands-on exposure to configuration concepts, and the willingness to transition into a CPQ Business Modeler role over time.
This role involves understanding business needs, documenting requirements, supporting product configuration, and gradually learning CPQ modeling under guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Product Ownership
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand product rules, pricing logic, configuration flows, and user experience.
- Manage product backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning sessions.
- Act as the bridge between business teams and technical implementation teams.
CPQ / Configuration Support
- Understand CPQ fundamentals, product configuration logic, and basic rules-based modeling.
- Assist in designing configuration scenarios and validating model behavior.
- Participate in UAT, troubleshoot issues, and support configuration enhancements.
- Work with senior modelers to gradually learn and take over CPQ modeling tasks.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Create clear documentation: BRDs, FRDs, workflow diagrams, configuration logic notes.
- Communicate requirements effectively across sales, engineering, and development teams.
- Ensure alignment between business expectations and system capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience as Business Analyst / Product Owner.
- Experience in CPQ, Salesforce, CRM systems, or any rule-based configuration platform.
- Good understanding of product structure, pricing, and configuration logic.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets, rule tables, and structured data.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Apttus, or similar tools.
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, and cross-system data flow.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or data structures.
- Ability to eventually perform CPQ modeling under training.
