Position Summary
Job Overview:
The Business Operations Specialist is a partner to the Business Operations Manager to help
two execute its mission for clients and the industry in general. The Business Operations Specialist will be involved in day-to-day activities, and larger initiatives. The work that the Business Operations Specialist will be involved in carries a variety of tasks and themes. It is essential for this person to be: naturally curious, to have the ability to piece information together, be highly analytical, and to be tenacious with following through. This role requires the keenness to shift between detail-oriented work, and big-picture thinking. Since this role interfaces with everyone in the company, it is important that this person builds an understanding and empathy for all the other roles. The Business Operations team is usually a starting point for many inquiries, so the Specialist will need to know how to discern when to help peers find solutions, or when to escalate matters to a manager. The Business Operations Specialist will strategize with the Business Operations Manager on operational processes, as well as training and developing members of
two. Works with One Workplace departments to develop effective processes that supports
two and its team members. This person supports leadership to implement
two’s standard procedures, and to meet annual financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an intimate understanding of the two process from beginning to completion of projects
- Understand the roles and interests of key persons from One Workplace’s central services, including Finance, Facilities, HR, IT, Order Administration, Warehouse Operations, and Studio West; collaborate with them on behalf of the two team members’ needs
- Support the Business Operations Manager in forecasting and budgeting efforts
- Support inter-departmental initiatives and process improvement plans within both two and One Workplace
- Participate, or take ownership of some initiatives
- Learn new processes and platforms that the company may be adopting, or that two may be planning to roll-out to the larger team
- Be a champion for team members in developing processes & tools that support their employee engagement and well-being
- Support the Business Operations Manager in receiving weekly and monthly reports, and extract information that needs to be shared with leadership or with the two team
- Act as a liaison for our manufacturing and service vendor partners, to either understand or distribute informational updates, or to close the loop on project-related matters (for example: storage invoice payments)
- Support the onboarding program for new hires
- Maintain an understanding of the forces that help shape the business by paying close attention to clients’ needs through working with the Client Experience team, and by participating in organization and industry events
Requirements:
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university desired; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong business acumen

Work Environment
Regularly works with others and has both face-to-face and verbal contact, usually works inside. Generally, works in an office environment with moderate noise.
