A DriveWorks Technical Support & Solutions Specialist is responsible for the successful support of software implementation projects at GoEngineer customers. In this customer-facing role, you’ll support clients throughout the sales, implementation, and post-Go Live lifecycle of their engineering system deployment. You’ll work closely with key accounts, internal sales teams, SOLIDWORKS technical support, and the Solution Engineering teams to ensure customer success.
Your key contributions in this role will be:
- Provide technical support to DriveWorks customers, troubleshooting issues and guiding users through solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DriveWorks functionality, updates, and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools, documentation, best practices, and knowledge bases to improve support efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to create pre-sales quotes, statements of work (SOWs), and project scopes using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Participate in project planning and delivery discussions, providing technical insights and recommendations.
- Manage customer relationships with key accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and proactive engagement.
- Represent the company at occasional customer visits, training sessions, and industry events.
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:
- Bachelor's in Engineering preferred but not required (or equivalent mechanical design experience)
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a technical support, solutions engineering, or related customer-facing role.
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-friendly language.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams.
- SOLIDWORKS experience
- Hands-on experience with DriveWorks (Design Automation, CPQ, or similar modules) strongly preferred.
- Experience with relational database systems, preferably MS SQL Server
- Superior Windows and computer user
- Familiarity with computer network and authentication protocols
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a structured and organized manner.
- Commitment to excellence and pride in their work and strong work ethic
Working Hours and Location:
This position is remote or can be hybrid if located near a GoEngineer office. Occasional regional travel may be required for customer visits or events.
