Position Summary
Setpoint Systems is seeking a strategic and operationally minded
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial and administrative departments during a period of
rapid growth. This executive-level role serves as the chief financial officer responsible for the financial health and operational integrity of the organization. You will oversee all administrative functions, including Accounting, Contract Administration, MIS, and Warehouse/Purchasing. A key priority for this role is managing relationships and reporting for
equity partners and firms, ensuring they have the critical data needed to drive business decisions.
Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000 Annual Salary
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Financial Strategy & Reporting
- Strategic Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements (Cash Flow, Balance Sheets, Income Statements) and Weekly Flash/Dashboard reports for the senior management team and external equity partners
- Growth Projections: Develop and manage sophisticated cash flow and revenue projections to support the company’s rapid scaling
- Equity Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for equity firms, providing transparent financial data and participating in strategic risk management
- Monthly Close: Lead the monthly close-out process to ensure timely delivery of financial reporting to senior management and outside entities
- Construction Accounting & Revenue Management
- Job Costing: Oversee the accuracy of Project Profitability and Labor Deviation reports, ensuring high-level job costing integrity
- Construction Billing: Manage the specialized billing cycles, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P) aging common to large-scale construction and service contracts
- Revenue Recognition: Maintain the general ledger and rates within ComputerEase, ensuring all revenue and project re-estimates are accurately reflected
- Operational Oversight & Supply Chain
- Purchasing & Warehousing: Provide executive oversight for all warehouse processes, inventory levels, and product pricing
- Logistics: Direct the standards for shipping and receiving, parts delivery, and warehouse procedures to support field operations
- Asset Management: Oversee fleet management, equipment leases, and building maintenance to ensure infrastructure keeps pace with growth
- Risk, Compliance & Contract Administration
- Contract Management: Responsible for the evaluation and approval of construction contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements
- Risk Mitigation: Manage the company’s bonding capacity, lien rights, and comprehensive insurance portfolio (Health, 401k, Liability, and Property)
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings, including sales/use tax and annual W-2/1099 reporting
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record as a CFO or VP of Finance, ideally within the construction or systems integration industry
- Equity Expertise: Direct experience managing financial reporting and communications for equity partners or private equity firms
- Systems: Proficiency in ComputerEase or similar construction-specific ERP software
- Leadership: Ability to manage diverse teams across accounting, MIS, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
