We are partnering with a CEO & Board of a high-growth B2C business based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. With the recent investment from a tier 1 private equity firm they are experiencing rapid growth. With revenues expecting to scale from $100m towards $250m+, the business is entering a critical phase of expansion, transformation and value creation.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board. As Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the company’s strategic direction and growth agenda.
You will lead the Finance function while also overseeing IT and Legal, ensuring the business has the governance, systems, insights, and controls required to scale efficiently and deliver strong investor outcomes. You will be hands-on, forward-looking, and deeply commercial balancing strategic leadership with operational excellence. Previous experience partnering (and challenging) Sales & Marketing and ensuring Supply Chains are optimal within a fast paced B2C businesses is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to the CEO and Board, contributing to strategy, growth initiatives, and value creation
- Lead all aspects of financial management including FP&A, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, tax, and compliance
- Drive performance management, data-led decision making, and financial discipline across the business
- Oversee systems, technology, and process transformation to support scale and efficiency
- Manage investor and stakeholder reporting, including private equity requirements (previous Corporate Finance - VC or PE PortCo management experience essential.
- Support M&A, capital structure initiatives, and growth investments as required
- Ensure robust governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks
About You
- Proven CFO or senior finance leader experience within high-growth, complex environments (B2C and/or PE-backed experience highly regarded)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into strategic outcomes
- Demonstrated experience scaling businesses GTM expansion, leading transformation, and building fit-for-purpose finance functions
- Confident executive presence with the ability to influence at CEO, Board, and investor level
- Track record of leading teams through change while maintaining performance excellence
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused leadership style
