Summary
Alside, a leader in exterior building products, is seeking a National Account Sales Support Manager to support and grow key strategic national accounts. This role is ideal for someone with experience in fast-paced, customer-driven environments who excels at leading and developing teams, strengthening national account operations, and driving consistent execution across multiple markets.
As National Account Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in reinforcing Alside's market position by optimizing how we support and execute for our national customers--strengthening teams, processes, and tools, particularly through Salesforce. Success in this role means ensuring consistent, high-quality execution while fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the National Account Operations team, ensuring they deliver consistent support that enables National Account Managers to focus on sales and growth.
- Serve as the senior operational point of contact for national account clients, overseeing order flow, resolving escalations, and ensuring a professional customer experience.
- Design, implement, and oversee national account operating strategies that align with business objectives and strengthen Alside's market position.
- Cultivate and manage strong client relationships at both mid-level and field-level, reinforcing trust and operational excellence across accounts.
- Partner with National Account leadership to build a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer focus across the team utilizing playbooks to create consistency.
- Direct the creation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on key performance metrics to provide visibility for leadership and NAMs.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure operational effectiveness, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Standardize and improve national processes, creating new SOPs for reporting, pricing, rebates, marketing and account execution to drive efficiency and consistency across all regions.
Day To Day Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain playbooks and SOPs to drive consistency and enablement across National Accounts.
- Resolve pricing and order discrepancies quickly to support field teams and customers.
- Create and standardize reporting to provide accurate insights for leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Lead onboarding for new market activations to ensure smooth customer and Alside expansion launches..
- Create and standardize reporting across multiple systems (AS400, Salesforce, Vendavo, FinanceBI) to provide accurate insights..
Key Relationships
- Alside Company and Field Leadership -- Partner closely with GVPs, Regional Leaders, ISS, Marketing, Finance, Category Management and Credit to ensure alignment and execution of National Account strategies.
- National R&R Dealers -- Production and Sales Leaders -- Serve as the operational liaison, ensuring smooth onboarding, order management, and ongoing account support..
Education & Experience
- 5--8+ years in operations, account management, or business process management within building materials, distribution, manufacturing, or B2B services.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working in organizations with both centralized functions and field/branch execution models.
- Skilled at training, onboarding, and change management -- able to coach teams and drive adoption of SOPs.
- Detail-oriented, with proven success in problem-solving, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
