Our CFO will serve as a strategic business partner to ownership and our management team, balancing day-to-day operational leadership with long-range planning, process improvement, and the integration of new technologies (including AI and digital transformation) across multiple business units. This position combines strategic financial oversight with a hands-on approach to managing the accounting, purchasing/inventory, and IT functions across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to blend hands-on financial management with visionary leadership, supporting both the company’s legacy and its future through digital transformation and innovation. **Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 annually, which may include performance bonus — commensurate with experience and organizational size.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support both short- and long-term business objectives.
- Partner with ownership and leadership to drive profitability, financial stability, operational efficiency, and disciplined growth.
- Oversee cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, audit, tax, and financial reporting activities.
- Manage financial risk and clearly communicate financial performance to both financial and non-financial leaders.
- Strengthen banking relationships and oversee capital structure and insurance programs.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including the use of AI for financial modeling, analytics, and automation.
- Evaluate business opportunities, assess ROI, and support expansion into new markets and product lines.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Champion process improvements that enhance financial visibility, controls, and decision-making across the organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, operations, and sales leaders to improve efficiency and accountability.
- Lead, mentor and develop purchasing, inventory, accounting, and IT teams, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Strong communicator who can explain financial data clearly to non-financial leaders.
- Skilled in cost accounting, financial & ROI analysis, cash flow management, and multi-entity operations.
- Adept at strengthening banking relationships, managing insurance programs, and leading cross-department collaboration.
- Excited by innovation, especially the integration of automation, analytics, and AI to enhance business performance.
- Experienced working in a family-owned or privately held business, understanding both professional governance and family dynamics.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and financial discipline appropriate for a mid-sized, privately held organization.
- Comfortable stepping into a transition-oriented role, earning expanded responsibility over time.
- Natural mentor who takes pride in developing strong teams and cultivating future leaders.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including senior management experience.
- Proven success managing financial operations in a mid-sized, multi-division company.
- Cost accounting, ROI analysis, and capital budgeting expertise.
- Experience leading ERP or financial system modernization.
- Knowledge of property/liability insurance and risk management best practices.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted or data analytics tools a plus, such as Power BI.
