About the Role
Aegis Asphalt Construction is growing and needs a systems‑minded Business Operations Manager to build structure, create SOPs, and run our office operations so field crews can deliver great work. You’ll own workflows from work order intake → scheduling → job closeout, improve communication between office and field, and drive efficiency across the business.
What You’ll Do
- Build & improve processes: Create SOPs, checklists, and templates for scheduling, job setup/closeout, A/R & A/P routing, materials tracking, and compliance.
- Run office operations: Oversee phones/inboxes, ensure job files are complete, coordinate vendors/subs, and maintain organized, audit‑ready documentation.
- Coordinate scheduling: Support daily/weekly crew schedules, equipment assignments, and material deliveries; proactively resolve conflicts.
- Own data & systems: Maintain clean data and usage standards in OneCrew (work orders/scheduling), Bluebeam (plans/specs), iSolved (HR/time/payroll), plus Excel/Sheets.
- Enable communication: Serve as the hub between estimators, PMs, crews, suppliers, and customers; keep everyone aligned on scope, dates, and constraints.
- Report & improve: Track KPIs (schedule adherence, rework, paperwork completeness, billing cycle time) and execute continuous improvements.
What Makes You a Fit
- 3+ years in construction/trades/field‑service operations or office management supporting field teams.
- Proven track record creating workflows/SOPs and getting teams to follow them.
- Excellent communicator; calm under pressure; highly organized; strong follow‑through.
- Tech‑savvy; quick to learn new software. Experience with OneCrew, Bluebeam, iSolved (or similar) is a plus.
- Comfortable with job costing, work orders, purchase orders, and closeout packets.
Nice to Have
- Scheduling/dispatch experience
- Experience implementing new software/processes
- Familiarity with public works paperwork and compliance docs
Schedule
- Full‑time, on‑site, Monday–Friday (some flexibility during peak season).
