Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership to a large, India-headquartered manufacturing organization with global operations. As the company enters its next phase of growth and transformation, the Group CFO will work closely with the Board and senior leadership to strengthen governance, optimize capital allocation, and enable expansion across markets and geographies.
This role requires a leader with deep expertise in managing complex manufacturing businesses, strong board presence, and proven experience in growth, transformation, and value creation.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial Leadership- Partner with the Board and executive leadership to define and execute the group’s long-term financial strategy.
- Provide strategic insights on profitability, capital efficiency, risk management, and sustainable value creation.
Governance, Controls & Compliance- Ensure robust financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements across geographies.
- Lead engagement with the Board, Audit Committee, lenders, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Capital Planning & Treasury- Drive capital structure optimization, funding strategy, liquidity management, and working capital efficiency.
- Lead evaluation and execution of debt, equity, refinancing, and large capital allocation decisions.
Growth, M&A & Expansion- Work closely with Group business heads to support growth initiatives and strategic decision-making.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, structuring, and post-merger integration for M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
- Evaluate and approve capex investments, including new plants, capacity expansion, technology upgrades, and geographic expansion initiatives.
Operational Finance Excellence- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, pricing, and margin improvement across manufacturing operations.
- Drive performance management, MIS, and financial discipline across plants and global subsidiaries.
Team Leadership & Capability Building- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing group finance organization with strong succession planning and governance standards.
Candidate Profile- Experience
- Senior finance leadership experience (Group CFO / CFO / Deputy CFO) in an India-headquartered manufacturing company with revenues in the range of INR 8,000 Cr to INR 25,000 Cr.
- Proven experience managing global operations, multi-entity structures, and large capex-intensive environments.
- Functional Expertise
- Strong background in corporate finance, treasury, capital markets, governance, M&A, and operational finance.
- Hands-on experience working closely with Boards and independent directors.
- Education & Credentials
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
