Job Summary
We are a fast-growing, multi-location dental group in the Bay Area with five established practices and an expanding footprint. We are seeking a highly strategic and operationally strong Chief Financial Officer / Regional Manager to lead our financial operations, drive profitability, and oversee regional performance across all locations.
This is a hands-on executive leadership role that blends high-level financial strategy with day-to-day operational oversight. The ideal candidate will function as both the financial steward and regional business leader, partnering closely with ownership, clinical leadership, and office managers to scale performance, improve systems, and support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, with a strong focus on profitability, scalability, and sustainable growth.
- Lead annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across all locations.
- Oversee financial modeling, cash flow management, and capital allocation for expansions, technology investments, and acquisitions.
- Analyze profit and loss statements by location and provider, identifying trends, variances, and actionable opportunities.
- Coordinate with the group CPA for quarterly financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance.
- Supervise internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial risk management.
Operations and Regional Management
- Serve as the regional business leader overseeing performance across five dental offices.
- Partner with office managers, treatment coordinators, and clinical leadership to improve operational efficiency, scheduling utilization, and production flow.
- Implement standardized operating procedures across all locations to ensure consistency, accountability, and scalability.
- Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) including production, collections, case acceptance, hygiene productivity, and overhead ratios.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements in front office, billing, and clinical operations.
- Support new location development, practice acquisitions, and integration efforts.
Revenue Cycle and Growth Optimization
- Oversee revenue cycle management, billing accuracy, insurance reimbursement, and collections performance.
- Improve case acceptance through financial analytics, pricing strategies, and treatment coordinator support.
- Partner with marketing leadership to analyze ROI on marketing campaigns, referral programs, and patient acquisition strategies.
- Develop incentive structures and compensation models aligned with productivity and profitability goals.
HR, Payroll, and Team Leadership
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HR finance functions for approximately 50 employees.
- Partner with HR and leadership to support hiring, performance management, and retention strategies.
- Establish accountability frameworks for office managers and department heads.
- Mentor and develop leadership talent within the organization.
Mergers, Acquisitions, and Strategic Growth
- Conduct market analysis and financial due diligence for acquisitions and expansion opportunities.
- Lead post-acquisition financial integration and operational alignment.
- Evaluate vendor contracts, lease terms, and service agreements to improve cost structure.

Pay: $82,346.00 - $121,792.90 per year
