Job Title Senior CPQ Architect Experience 12+ years Location Offshore Role Overview We are looking for a Senior CPQ Architect to lead the definition of configuration, pricing, and quoting architecture during an enterprise Discovery & Architecture phase. This role is responsible for designing how configurable products are sold — including rule-driven configuration, BOM logic, pricing orchestration, quote lifecycle, and approvals — across ERP, CRM, CPQ services, and experience layers. This is a discovery and architecture role, not an implementation or CPQ tool configuration role. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities CPQ Configuration & Rules Architecture (Primary Focus)
- Define rule-driven configuration models, including: o Compatibility and dependency rules o Constraint and limit enforcement o Mandatory vs optional components
- Design BOM-driven configuration models and compare against static bundle approaches
- Define ownership and governance of configuration rules Pricing & Quote Orchestration
- Design pricing orchestration flows where ERP remains the system of record
- Define how CPQ consumes: o Base pricing o Discounts and adjustments o Approval thresholds
- Define quote lifecycle stages, approvals, and versioning Quote-to-Order Process Design
- Define end-to-end Quote-to-Order flows, including: o Quote creation and revisions o Approval workflows o Handoff to ERP for order creation
- Ensure auditability and traceability of pricing and configuration decisions Systems & Integration Architecture
- Define CPQ integration patterns across: o ERP (Oracle, e-Automate, future F&O) o CRM (Dynamics) o Workflow and approval systems o Data platforms (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
- Contribute to: o System interaction diagrams o API and integration touchpoints o End-to-end CPQ data flows Collaboration with Product & PIM Teams
- Align CPQ logic with: o Product master structures o BOM hierarchies defined by PIM
- Clearly define system boundaries: o PIM owns product definitions o CPQ owns configuration and pricing logic Discovery Deliverables
- Produce and contribute to: o CPQ functional requirements o Configuration and rule models o Pricing orchestration diagrams o Rule ownership and governance models
- Participate in discovery workshops and architecture working sessions ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in: o CPQ architecture and solution design o Rule-based configuration engines o Enterprise pricing and quoting systems
- Strong expertise in: o BOM-driven and configurable products o Quote lifecycle and approval workflows o ERP-led pricing models
- Experience integrating CPQ with: o ERP systems o CRM platforms o Workflow and approval engines
- Proven experience in discovery or architecture engagements
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
