Position: Data Financial Analyst
Role Overview
The role involves driving data analysis, reporting, financial operations, vendor coordination, and program governance for Annotation Operations. The candidate will support invoicing, spend tracking, resource planning, and operational reporting, while working closely with vendors, finance teams, and leadership stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Financial Management
- Analyze past trends and forecast upcoming resource needs across quarters.
- Estimate resource requirements and derive PR (Purchase Requisition) amounts using approved rate cards.
- Validate PR values with Internal Data Ops Finance Managers and create PRs accordingly.
- Monitor weekly forecast data and PO (Purchase Order) fund balances, and initiate change orders when required.
- Take full ownership of PR creation and change request processes as per projected demand and historical trends.
Vendor & Invoice Management
- Work with Annotation Program vendors to ensure timely processing of weekly/monthly invoices.
- Support the actuals process and streamline quarterly and annual reporting workflows.
Reporting & Dashboarding
- Develop executive-level reports summarizing program progress, risks, and key insights.
- Build operational dashboards and leadership reports to track metrics, priorities, and timelines.
- Support strategic planning through financial models and analytical reporting.
Program Operations Excellence
- Drive process improvements for invoicing, spend management, and resource tracking.
- Work independently in ambiguous situations using logical reasoning and structured problem-solving.
- Ensure adherence to approved company policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic background (Postgraduate/MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in:
- Data Analysis
- Business / Finance Operations
- Program Management
- Proven experience in building visual reports for leadership (Executives, Engineering, Operations, Finance), including risk and mitigation tracking.
- Strong expertise in:
- Financial Modeling (from scratch or enhancement of existing models)
- Data Analysis
- Tools such as Excel and VBA Macros
- Experience working collaboratively across multicultural environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Tableau Dashboarding and SQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering business improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience in project management or project-based environments.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
