Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the overall financial strategy, operational performance, and fiscal stewardship of the organization. This role combines high-level strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight. The CFO will lead all accounting, reporting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance functions while building scalable financial infrastructure to support a complex, multi-entity, multi-location business. The ideal candidate is both strategic and pragmatic — someone who can partner with ownership, influence operational leaders, and drive measurable financial performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives
• Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership on financial performance, risk, and strategic decisions
• Provide financial modeling, analysis, and insights to support business expansion, contract opportunities, and operational investments
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning
• Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, KPIs, and performance dashboards
• Analyze trends in revenue, margins, labor, and operating costs to drive profitability improvements
Accounting & Reporting Oversight
• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, close process, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Cash Flow, Treasury & Capital Management
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization
• Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, debt management, and capital structure
• Evaluate financing strategies to support growth initiatives
Risk, Compliance & Controls
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial governance practices
• Oversee audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting
• Mitigate financial and operational risks across multiple locations
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, including Controller and Assistant Controller functions
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Implement scalable processes and systems to support company growth
Operational Partnership
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership to align financial strategy with business needs
• Support contract pricing, vendor negotiations, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Provide financial support for acquisitions, integrations, and new market opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• 10–15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
• Prior experience as Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO in a multi-entity or multi-location organization
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and regulatory compliance
• Experience managing audits, tax strategy, treasury, and banking relationships
• Demonstrated success leading and developing finance teams
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• ERP/accounting systems proficiency and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style
