Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a manufacturing organization that has experience in a turnaround or restructuring environment. . This company is in the $150M rev and ~$20M EBITDA size. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in corporate finance, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance, with a proven track record in managing complex financial functions within manufacturing or similar industries. This role requires strong leadership skills to guide the finance team, ensure fiscal integrity, and support strategic growth initiatives during a transitional period. The Interim CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and providing insightful financial reporting to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support organizational goals.
- Manage corporate accounting functions in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and other relevant standards such as ASC 606 and COSO frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and maintain accurate financial records for internal and external audits.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposure.
- Oversee treasury management activities including cash flow optimization, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
- Supervise revenue cycle management, revenue recognition policies, and cost control initiatives within manufacturing operations.
- Lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities by performing due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
- Develop and implement strategies for profit & loss optimization, expense management, and cost management initiatives.
- Provide strategic insights through detailed financial report writing and interpretation to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on business development efforts and market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and specific industry regulations including ASC 606.
- Supervise finance team members in areas such as payroll management, technical accounting, tax accounting, and supply chain finance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive within manufacturing or related industries.
- Must have experience working for a PE backed company
- Strong turnaround or restructuring experience
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS; familiarity with ASC 606; COSO framework; and governmental accounting standards preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance, risk analysis, internal controls, and financial reporting interpretation.
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions (M&A), business development, market analysis, and supply chain finance.
- Proficiency in financial software systems used for complex accounting functions and reporting.
- Excellent leadership skills with supervisory experience managing diverse finance teams in high-pressure environments.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with business development acumen to foster organizational growth.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets for business analysis purposes; adept at cost control and expense management strategies.
- Formal education in finance or accounting; CPA or CFA designation preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $300,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
