We are looking for a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California. This contract position oversees the financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with all fiscal regulations. With an annual budget of approximately $600 million, this role requires exceptional leadership to manage multiple departments and maintain the integrity of financial data.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee fiscal operations, including cash flow management, capital planning, and month-end close processes.
• Direct financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly reports.
• Manage and supervise three key departments: Finance, Contracts & Procurement, and Compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and non-profit accounting standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain the integrity of financial data across the organization.
• Collaborate with leadership to align financial planning with organizational goals.
• Monitor and analyze the organization's financial performance, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Maintain oversight of business systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Serve as the organization's Treasurer and Auditor-Controller, upholding fiscal accountability.
• Provide strategic input on financial policies to support long-term sustainability.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles.
• Expertise in cash flow analysis, capital management, and month-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting and federal grant regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex budgets.
• Proficiency in business systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Experience working with budgets exceeding $500 million.
• Advanced understanding of compliance standards and fiscal integrity requirements.
