The Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Financial Officer to help lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic, forward‑thinking leader responsible for ensuring the long‑term financial health and sustainability of the Hockomock Area YMCA. Reporting to the CEO/President, the CFO oversees all financial operations—including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, investment management, and compliance—while modernizing financial systems and guiding a high‑performing finance team. This role serves as a key advisor to the CEO, C‑suite, and Board of Directors.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility.
- Demonstrated excellence in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and oversight of complex financial operations.
- Experience leading finance teams and modernizing financial systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to build trust, lead organizational change, and support a mission-driven culture.
- YMCA Organizational Leader Certification preferred or acquired within first year.
Essential Functions
- Lead all financial management functions, including accounting, cash management, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Direct budget development, forecasting models, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee investments, endowments, banking relationships, and annual audit processes.
- Serve as staff liaison to the Finance and Investment Committees, providing clear financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Drive modernization of financial systems and organizational infrastructure.
- Mentor and supervise the Controller and staff responsible for AP, AR, and payroll.
- Support fundraising, grant compliance, and restricted gift accounting.
