Who are we?
CHROME Federal Credit Union was founded on April 13, 1971, as Washington Steel
Employees Federal Credit Union by seven employees of the Washington Steel Company.
When the local economy changed, the credit union evolved, and membership eligibility
was expanded to include the eight counties in Southwestern PA. As other credit unions
merged into CHROME, their branch footprint expanded, and they now have over 15,500
members.
CHROME Federal Credit Union is a values-driven organization whose actions speak
louder than words. Over the past three years, the Observer-Reporter readers have
awarded them First Place Awards in Best Overall Business, Best Philanthropic Business,
and Best Credit Union. Additionally, CHROME has consistently received Bauer
Financial's highest rating for financial strength. The words of their membership are
reflected in the 125 5-Star Google reviews given over the past two years.
Role:
With approximately $217 million in assets and located in Washington, Pennsylvania,
CHROME Federal Credit Union is currently in search of a finance and accounting
executive to replace its retiring Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the
President/CEO, this individual will work overseeing general accounting, budgeting,
investments, financial reporting, asset and liability management, and financial
forecasting. The ideal candidate will also be well-versed in using technology to drive
efficiencies, have experience with regulatory compliance, and be eager and able to drive
change within the department. The successful candidate will have proven leadership
skills, keen analytical experience, and a strong desire to make a difference in the
community that CHROME FCU serves. The credit union is seeking someone with five plus
years of experience managing finance and accounting functions within a retail banking
environment, preferably, a bachelor's degree, and a holistic understanding of financial operations.
