Summary: Strategic and executional role that supports the sales organization by turning data into insights, improving processes, and helping leadership make informed decisions. It blends analytics, systems expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilites
Sales Data & Analytics
- Develop advanced analytical models to support strategic decision-making (trend analysis, scenario modeling, what-if analysis)
- Analyze sales performance (revenue, pipeline, win rates, forecasting accuracy)
- Build dashboards and reports for Sales Leadership and Executive Team
- Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Subject matter expert on syndicated data and customized data story telling
- Assist in creating selling materials for presentations and sales submissions
- Help coordinate and communicate price increases
Forecasting & Planning
- Partner with Sales and Finance on revenue forecasting
- Support annual and quarterly sales planning
- Track quotas, territories, and attainment
Process Optimization
- Improve sales workflows (lead management, opportunity stages, deal approvals)
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions
- Ensure consistent sales practices across teams
CRM & Systems Ownership
- Act as admin for CRM tools
- Maintain data accuracy and reporting integrity
- Support system enhancements, integrations, and automation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, and Marketing
- Translate business needs into analytical insights
- Support go-to-market strategy and execution
- Help coordinate new items and announcements
Trade Marketing
- Lead trade marketing strategy to drive distribution, velocity, and profitability
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to plan, execute, and evaluate trade promotions, retailer programs, and in-store initiatives
- Own promotional calendars, trade spend planning, and post-promo performance analysis
- Ensure alignment between brand strategy and retailer-specific merchandising, pricing, and promotional requirements
- Develop standardized tools and frameworks for promo ROI, trade spend efficiency, and lift analysis
- Collaborate with key account teams to support retailer line reviews, seasonal programs, and new product launches
- Translate shopper insights and retail data into actionable recommendations to improve sell-through and shelf performance
- Lead and manage trade show planning and execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Analytics
- 3-5+ years of people leadership experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strong experience with CRM platforms
- Experience building dashboards and reports using BI tools
- Familiarity with sales methodologies and go-to-market strategies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
