Senior Salesforce CPQ Administrator
Position Summary
The Senior Salesforce CPQ Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Salesforce CPQ to support Availity’s sales operations, quoting, and pricing processes. With 7 years of Salesforce experience and strong expertise in CPQ, this role ensures that product catalogs, pricing rules, and quoting workflows operate smoothly and align with business needs. The Sr. CPQ Admin partners closely with Sales Operations, Finance, and the Salesforce Platform Architect to deliver a seamless quoting experience that drives efficiency and accuracy. Will be responsible for implementing and delivery of QCP module of CPQ.
Key Responsibilities
- CPQ Configuration & Administration
- Configure Salesforce CPQ objects: products, price books, bundles, discount schedules, approvals.
- Maintain and enhance CPQ rules (pricing, product selection, validation).
- Support guided selling, quote templates, and renewal processes.
- Manage changes to quoting workflows to reflect new product offerings, rate adjustments, and partner pricing.
- QCP (Quote Calculator Pricing) Configuration & Administration
- Design and implement complex pricing structures using QCP and standard priced rules
- Serve as SME for QCP, which will involve writing and maintaining Apex and Javascipt modification to handle advanced, scenario-specific calculations
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of pricing calculations. Must be able to avoid to unnecessary recalculations to maintain optimal performance
- Quoting & Sales Support
- Partner with Sales and Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely quotes and contracts.
- Troubleshoot quote creation issues and resolve CPQ-related user tickets.
- Provide training and documentation to sales users on CPQ features.
- Data & Integration Management
- Ensure product and pricing data is accurate and aligned with Informatica ETL feeds to Salesforce accounts.
- Support integrations between CPQ and downstream systems (billing, contracts, ERP).
- Collaborate with Data Steward and Sales Ops to maintain clean product catalogs.
- Governance & Enhancements
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce CPQ in the offshore team.
- Evaluate Salesforce CPQ release updates and new features for applicability.
- Recommend enhancements to improve quoting speed, accuracy, and compliance.
- Document configurations, processes, and knowledge base articles for recurring tasks.
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Work under the direction of the Offshore Manager and Tech Lead to deliver CPQ changes in sprints.
- Collaborate with onshore Salesforce Platform Architect and Sales Ops to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Support QA and UAT testing cycles for CPQ features.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 3+ years dedicated to CPQ and QCP administration.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring Salesforce CPQ objects, pricing rules, product bundles, discount schedules.
- Strong Apex and Javascript programming and code performance optimization, minimum 3+ years.
- Familiarity with CPQ data model and integration to Sales Cloud opportunities and quotes.
- Experience with guided selling, quote templates, approvals, renewals.
- Exposure to Salesforce billing, ERP, or contract lifecycle management integrations preferred.
- Proficiency with declarative tools (Flows, Validation Rules, Reports, Dashboards).
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification required; Salesforce Administrator and Advanced Administrator certifications preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ integrations with Zuora and Ironclad.
