Hybrid Work Model

Job Description
Position Summary
The Deal Desk Specialist supports Assent Compliance’s Go-To-Market (GTM) organization by ensuring deals are structured accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies. This role partners closely with Sales, Pricing, Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations to review, approve, and process customer deals, with a focus on speed, compliance, and consistency.
Based in Pune, India, this role is a critical part of Assent’s global Deal Desk coverage model, enabling timely deal support across regions and time zones. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while navigating complex pricing, contractual, and approval requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Review & Approval
- Review and process customer deals submitted by Sales, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with pricing, discounting, and approval policies.
- Validate deal components including pricing, term length, product configuration, discounts, payment terms, and non-standard requests.
- Apply established approval frameworks and escalate exceptions as required.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Sales, Pricing, Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations to resolve deal-related questions and issues.
- Coordinate contract review workflows, including redlines and approvals, in collaboration with Legal and Sales.
- Act as a trusted operational partner to Sales by providing clear guidance on deal structure and policy requirements.
Quoting & Systems Support
- Create, review, and manage quotes using approved quoting tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce and CPQ tools, as applicable).
- Ensure deal data is accurately reflected in Salesforce to support forecasting, reporting, and downstream processes.
- Support quote-to-cash workflows, helping ensure clean handoffs to Order Management, Billing, and Customer Success
Process Adherence & Improvement
- Enforce deal desk processes, standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify recurring deal issues or bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Contribute to the documentation and continuous improvement of deal desk workflows and playbooks.
Reporting & Support
- Track deal desk requests, turnaround times, and common exception types.
- Provide input and data to support deal desk performance reporting and capacity planning.
- Support peak deal periods (e.g., quarter-end) by flexing hours or workload as needed to meet business demand.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related commercial operations role.
- Experience supporting B2B SaaS or technology sales organizations.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with pricing, contracts, and approval frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce (or similar CRM systems).
- Ability to manage multiple deal requests simultaneously while meeting SLAs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CPQ tools and quote-to-cash processes.
- Exposure to pricing models such as subscription, usage-based, or multi-year contracts.
- Experience working with global GTM teams across regions and time zones.
- Familiarity with legal or commercial terms commonly negotiated in SaaS agreements.
- Background in compliance, supply chain, or regulated industries.
