About Nomos
Nomos exists to eliminate energy costs for 200 million European households. We achieve this by developing new energy products with Europe’s leading technology companies and embed energy as a cost-saving feature for electric vehicles, heat pumps, battery storage systems and more.
What you’ll do
TL,DR: Craft and expand the operational backbone of our company so the rest of the team can focus on building product.
- Own the foundations. Finance, legal, recruiting, operations - you'll build the core functions that fuel our growth. You'll figure out what great looks like, set it up, hire someone better than you for the role, and move on to the next thing.
- Execute the ordinary extraordinarily well. We're building a full-stack power company with a lean team. With that comes a flood of opportunities, challenges, and competing priorities. Your job is prioritize clearly, execute effectively and keep Nomos running.
- Be a force of nature. When something matters, you move on it. Fast, thoroughly, and to a standard you're proud of. You work fast without cutting corners.
Who you are
We are primarily interested in your motivation and ability to grow. We value grit and ambition above experience and expertise. While there is no perfect candidate, the points below give you an indication of what we are looking for:
- You learn unreasonably fast. You can go from knowing nothing about a domain to understanding what great looks like within days. You talk to people who've done it before, think from first principles, and then execute with conviction.
- Your working style could be described as “kind and charming but ruthless”. You build trust quickly and people enjoy working with you. But when something needs to get done, you don't let politeness get in the way of progress.
- You are allergic to phrases like “that’s how things are done around here”, “that’s not possible” and “no”.
- You care deeply. You notice the broken process nobody mentioned. You don't care if something is "your job" or not. If it matters, you own it.
- You've proven yourself in a high-performance environment. 2+ years in a high-growth startup, professional sports, investment banking, or high-end hospitality. Somewhere where the pace was relentless and excuses didn't fly. German fluency (C1+) is required.
