Mackenzie Stuart is leading a search for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a growing dietary supplement contract manufacturing organisation headquartered in Minnesota. This is a key strategic position responsible for guiding the financial direction of the company and supporting significant growth and operational expansion.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, business‑minded finance leader with strong experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and strategic partnership with the executive team.
The CFO will oversee the full finance function, including FP&A, financial reporting, accounting, treasury, cost management, risk controls, and strategic planning. As a core member of the executive team, this leader will shape long‑term financial strategy, support operational excellence, and ensure the organisation is positioned for continued growth in the dietary supplement and nutraceutical space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership to the CEO and executive team, guiding decisions that support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Own all financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and budgeting activities.
- Lead accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance processes with a strong understanding of COGS, margin analysis, and capacity planning.
- Strengthen financial systems, controls, and reporting to support scalability and transparency.
- Oversee treasury, cash flow management, banking relationships, and capital structure planning.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams to optimise cost, improve performance, and support customer/project profitability.
- Lead financial diligence, modelling, and integration activities related to M&A or strategic partnerships.
- Implement and maintain ERP and financial systems improvements to drive accuracy, efficiency, and data quality.
- Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
- Serve as a cultural leader who brings discipline, collaboration, and strategic insight to the organisation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership, ideally within manufacturing, food, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or consumer health.
- Strong background in cost accounting and operational finance in a plant‑based environment.
- Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning in a fast‑growing business.
- Comfortable navigating ERP systems and driving system upgrades or implementations.
