Position Overview
The company is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and execution‑driven Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial management, reporting, capital strategy, investor communications, and governance for a growing public enterprise.
This executive will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board, strengthen financial operations, optimize capital structure, support growth initiatives, and act as the primary financial representative to investors, analysts, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, capital allocation, and long‑term value creation.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with growth objectives across CEA and CPG business lines.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and profitability enhancement initiatives.
Public Company & Capital Markets
- Oversee SEC reporting and compliance across all required filings (10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, proxy statements, equity plans).
- Lead investor relations, including earnings preparation, analyst engagement, and institutional communications.
- Manage capital‑raising efforts spanning equity, debt, structured finance, and strategic transaction opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with investment banks, lenders, auditors, and legal advisors.
Accounting, Controls & Governance
- Ensure strong internal controls, SOX compliance, and overall financial integrity.
- Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Support Board committees, including Audit and Compensation.
Operations & Growth Support
- Provide financial oversight for operational scale‑up, manufacturing investments, and supply‑chain efficiency.
- Evaluate M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Support expansion into higher‑margin CPG categories, including ready‑to‑drink and shelf‑stable product lines.
- Implement systems, processes, and analytics to enable a rapidly scaling, multi‑channel business.
Team Leadership
- Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing finance and accounting organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- CFO or senior financial leadership experience within a public company.
- Deep expertise in SEC reporting, GAAP, SOX compliance, and corporate governance.
- Demonstrated capital‑markets experience including equity and debt financing.
- Experience working closely with Boards, auditors, and external advisors.
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented leadership style suited to a fast‑growing, resource‑conscious environment.
Preferred
- Background in CPG, food & beverage, agriculture, manufacturing, or consumer brands.
- Experience with growth‑stage or turnaround public companies.
- M&A and strategic transaction execution experience.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced financial credentials.
