Description
Delcon is looking for a senior level finance executive to join our team as our global Chief Financial Officer in our Boston office. To help drive our next wave of growth we are looking for a strategic minded, tactically focused individual to assist with; US expansion, SaaS offering and creating a platform for the blood industry, and penetration of new markets, primarily the Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) market. The right individual will have considerable experience leading and developing a team of finance professionals in both the US and Italy; prior experience managing financial, accounting and administrative functions in multiple countries; knowledge of obtaining and maintaining compliance with US laws regarding Qualified Small Business (QSB) status; extensive experience with equity and debt fundraising, buy side and sell side due diligence and exit planning. Specific skills and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Qualifications
1. 10+ years’ experience in senior executive finance role
2. Experience managing a team and operations across multiple countries
3. Very knowledgeable about intercompany charges with European/Italian subsidiary
4. Experience with maintaining QSB status
5. Extensive fundraising experience (investor deck preparation, terms negotiating, communicating with Board/CEO, data room/due diligence, getting a deal closed)
6. Developing, maintaining and evolving monthly, quarterly and annual reporting package (financial results, KPIs)
7. Familiarity with US import, and Italian export, laws and procedures
8. Partnering with CEO and executive team to provide financial and operational insights and support into strategic initiatives
9. Ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements (tax, revenue, accounting, business licensing) in multiple countries
10. Overseeing, and working with, external auditing firms
11. Managing and developing a remote team
12. Managing 3rd party vendor relationships (accounting/auditing firms, banking, legal, IT, benefits, insurances)
13. Some travel, ~15%, required
14. MBA preferred
