Job Overview
The Head of Revenue Operations (RevOps) is a strategic leadership position responsible for optimizing the end-to-end revenue generation process for Macy’s Media Network. This leader will drive operational efficiency, sales productivity, reporting excellence, and strategic alignment across the Sales, Account Management, Ad Operations, Product, and Finance organizations. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, deep analytical capabilities, and hands-on operational management to ensure MMN’s infrastructure, data, and processes scale seamlessly with its ambitious growth targets.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Partner with Sales Leadership and Finance to design and implement annual revenue plans, including quota setting, territory design, commission planning, and capacity modeling to maximize sales effectiveness and minimize friction.
- Yield and Inventory Management: Oversee the pricing strategy and inventory controls (ad server and programmatic) to ensure optimal revenue yield and maximization of sell-through rates while minimizing channel conflict.
- Sales Process Optimization: Own the full commercial lifecycle, from lead qualification to campaign fulfillment and billing. Identify bottlenecks and implement standardized, scalable processes (SOPs) to improve sales cycle time and reduce human error.
- Revenue Technology Stack Management: Own and optimize the RevOps tech stack (CRM, Ad Server, Order Management Systems, BI/Reporting Tools). Ensure data integrity, clean architecture, and seamless integration between platforms (e.g., Boostr, Wrike, and Macy’s financial systems).
- Data Governance and Analytics: Design, build, and maintain mission-critical dashboards and reporting infrastructure that provide leadership with real-time visibility into pipeline health, sales performance, advertiser LTV, and key revenue metrics. Ensure MMN operates using a single source of truth for all commercial data.
- Financial & Billing Alignment (Fin Opps): Collaborate closely with Finance to streamline the invoicing, collections, and reconciliation processes. Ensure accurate revenue recognition and forecasting across all deal types (programmatic, managed service, self-service).
- Enablement and Training: Drive sales enablement initiatives by providing the Sales team with the necessary tools, training, content, and data insights to execute on their strategies effectively and efficiently
- Merchandising Collaboration: Develop and manage process for gathering and distributing relevant retail / commercial data from merchandising partners for use by the MMN Sales Team to create compelling sales narratives.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
- In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
Who You Are
- Experience: 8 plus years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Business Operations within a high-growth environment.
- Leadership: 3 plus years in a senior leadership role managing and mentoring RevOps, Sales Ops, or BI teams.
- Industry Expertise (Preferred): Deep knowledge of the Retail Media or AdTech/Digital Media landscape, including programmatic advertising, ad serving, campaign management, and digital measurement standards.
- Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in CRM systems and advanced experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for complex data modeling and visualization.
- Process Acumen: Proven success in designing and implementing scalable, repeatable, and high-quality processes across the entire Quote-to-Cash process
- Yield Management: Experience building and managing a “deal desk” to enable sales to move quickly and pitch compelling packages with pricing incentives and constructs that align with advertisers’ business goals and KPI’s.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical/data issues into clear, strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
