The CFO will lead all aspects of financial strategy, reporting, capital management, and financial operations across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance accounting, statutory reporting, capital and surplus management, and regulatory requirements, alongside the ability to guide strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute long-term business strategy
- Lead enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and performance management
- Provide financial insights to support underwriting, product, pricing, and distribution strategies
- Present financial results and strategic updates to the Board of Directors
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee GAAP and Statutory reporting, financial controls, and compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and regulatory filings
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks
Capital & Risk Management
- Manage capital structure, surplus strategy, and liquidity planning
- Oversee relationships with regulators, auditors, rating agencies, and external stakeholders
- Support reinsurance strategy and enterprise risk management initiatives
- Monitor financial performance relative to capital requirements and growth plans
Operational & Team Leadership
- Build and lead high-performing finance teams across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax
- Drive process improvement, systems enhancements, and scalable infrastructure
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA preferred; MBA a plus)
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within insurance or financial services
- Strong knowledge of insurance accounting (GAAP and Statutory) and regulatory frameworks
- Experience interacting with Boards, regulators, auditors, and rating agencies
- Demonstrated leadership of enterprise financial planning and performance management
FP&A Leaders Encouraged to Apply:
