The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO, Controller, and the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.
This is likely a 2-3 day per week commitment as the existing Controller is very strong and coachable.
Responsibilities
- Create and present financial and strategy recommendations to CEO and management team
- Support the financial planning and analysis efforts
- Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
- Work with Controller to prepare relevant financial statements and reports for bank and ownership group (Private Equity)
- Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
- Manage relationships with banks, insurance providers, and accounting firms
- Ability to oversee IT infrastructure and 3rd party service provider a strong plus
Qualifications
- Strong finance-based analytical skills
- Experience with ERP system Acumatica
- Experience with inventory management across 1000s of SKUs and cost accounting
- 7 - 10 years' of finance experience in construction or related industry
